Having known Frank and Joan Heslop, the previous owners of Wattle Range Funerals, they knew the business was built with 'state of the art' mortuary and related facilities that are the envy of many other funeral directors. The Heslops have since retired and have moved to Adelaide.
Both Mark and Kerryn are keen to continue offering unique and personalised ceremonies in consultation with the families. They welcome suggestions for different services to reflect the personality or interests of the client.
They are also looking at handling cremation services, offering pre-paid and pre-arranged funerals, and establishing a new on-site viewing room.
With Mark having the experience in aged care, and the skills to supervise a vast variety of employees, they quickly took advantage of a business opportunity in a community that they both have links to. With Kerryn growing up in Millicent, and Mark spending some of his early childhood at Newbery Park Primary School, they were thrilled to come back to the area they love so much. |
